Dianne Smithwick-Braden is a native Texan raised on the family farm near Vernon, Texas. The Wilbarger County Mystery Series is seasoned with a little romance, a dash of adventure, and a touch of humor.
She’s an avid reader of fiction but murder mysteries are by far her favorite genre. Her favorite authors are Agatha Christie, Janet Evanovich, and Clive Cussler. She recently discovered and became a fan of Reavis Wortham.
In her spare time, Dianne enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She knits to relax and think about plots and characters.
Dianne currently resides in Amarillo, Texas with her husband, Richard and their dog Rowdy. She has been a high school science teacher in Amarillo since August of 1990.
She writes for her own entertainment and the entertainment of her readers. There are no hidden messages or agendas in her work. It is simply a temporary escape from the real world.
